Bread Loaf Croutons' Summer Program

Croutons is an early childhood and school age summer recreation program designed to meet the unique needs of the students and faculty at the Bread Loaf School of English.  The program serves children from 0-12 in the Ripton Elementary School, about 4 miles from the Bread Loaf campus.

Licensed by the State of Vermont, Croutons is administered by Mary Johnson Children’s Center, a not for profit organization with long experience in the operation of quality programming for young children.  Croutons is designed as a six -week program that evolves depending upon the interests of the children, teachers and families. It is summer in Vermont and the outdoors plays an important role in program planning.  Field trips, swimming, hiking, and enjoying the beauty and natural world that is available in this part of the state are all components of the Croutons program.
